Lamorinda School Bus Program

The Lamorinda School Bus Program provides safe, convenient and reliable transportation for children riding from home to school and/or school to home.  The primary purpose of the program is to reduce traffic congestion in Lamorinda.  By riding the bus, you are supporting this effort!

Bus service is provided by First Student, a professional transportation provider with an excellent safety record.  All drivers receive extensive classroom and behind-the-wheel training, approved by the California Highway Patrol.  Additionally, all drivers must pass a full Department of Justice background check as well as on-going alcohol and drug screening.  All of the buses in the Lamorinda School Bus program are equipped with 3-point SEAT BELTS and GPS tracking devices. Please note that kindergarten and 1st grade students must be met by a parent or guardian in the afternoon.

Annual Pass

The price of an annual “Round Trip” bus pass is $480.  The price of an annual “AM Only” or “PM Only” pass is $312.  Annual bus passes are refundable (less a $25 processing fee) on a pro-rated basis.  Simply register and purchase passes online at www.lamorindaschoolbus.org.  Be sure to check “Schedules and Bus Stops” to make sure your child lives near a bus stop.

One Trip Pass

Does your child want to try the bus first?  “One Trip” Passes can also be purchased on line for $3 each.  Parents must sign and date the pass and include the bus stop destination and a parent contact phone number.  Please plan ahead and purchase your One Trip passes directly from the Lamorinda School Bus program, either through their website or by calling them at (925) 299-3216.  Please allow up to 5 business days to receive your passes by US mail.  The school office has only a few One Trip passes on-hand for emergency purposes.  If you need passes right away, you can visit the school bus office in Lafayette at 3675 Mt. Diablo Blvd., Suite 255.
